@smokey Probably not. My father was the first and, to his knowledge, only person in his family ever to emigrate to the US, arriving in the early ’50s. It isn’t terribly uncommon in the US (especially in the enclaves in Michigan and the Hudson River watershed) but I’m only related to a handful of other people in North America with that name. So if I’ve never sat at a breakfast table with them, then they’re either a very distant relation, or simply someone with the same surname.

(And “unmasked”? Ha! But... I was kinda hiding my name in plain sight: my microblog is, after all, called “(fleeting)” — a sort of punning translation. Cue eye-roll.)
