@patrickrhone I call it being in “book freefall.” I find myself worrying that I’ll like the new book less simply because it isn’t the old book; I’ll pick something else; then back the first choice; then maybe over to a third. And so on.

It usually settles out, but not before I spend a day or a week reading three or seven books at once. It’s probably why I’m always running out of bookmarks.

Or I could just jump off the cliff and write the book on the way down.
