@crossingthethreshold Thanks! All seems better. I was lucky. One tender spot, but nothing else. I didn’t actually hit my head, but I was worried I’d whiplashed it enough during the initial descent to shake things up. I wasn't kidding when I said I know how to fall, so I let myself go and rolled through it as best I could. My main miscalculation was just how hard old crusty snow can be. Like falling on ice, or the kitchen floor.

Ribs are no joke. Bruised or broken, they mess with your breath — and breath is everything.
