@schuth Dubious indeed. “Best” and “most important” according to whom? Wait, don’t tell me: according to the marketing department. And whenever people say “marketing problem,” I hear “The Market is inventing problems it can be the best and most important solution to, in order to stay relevant and lucrative.” As long as higher education continues to serve as an assembly line for “careers,” this will be a live problem. But what if the market served education rather than the other way round? What a world that would be. I think that education doesn’t have a marketing problem, but rather that the market has an education problem. And as Meister Eckhart said, “The truth needs no selling.”
